Competitively priced websites

At Real Free Websites, you do not have to pay any money upfront for our web design, even if you want an enhanced website. The way it works is that you submit your application for a website, and then we see if we can provide a solution that will meet your needs. If so, then we will begin designing your website. When we have made some progress, you will be shown what we have completed so far. Assuming you like what you see, you you will then make a payment through Paypal.

Why no deposit up front?

There are a lot of web design companies, but all (that we know of) ask for half of the fee up front. We have a different approach. We will start the work before we ask for any money. This allows you to 'try before you buy'. We want to prove we are a bona fide organisation In fact, we have more to lose than anyone!

We only make websites we think we can make well; if we think you would be better served elsewhere, we will tell you. We enjoy making websites here and we are confident that you will like our work, so this model works well for us.

Do I need to make a payment, if you provide free websites?

To get a free customized website, you only pay for web hosting. However, there are some reasons you might decide to make additional payments:

Bigger websites
If you want more than 3 pages on your website, then you will need to make a payment for additional pages.
More complex websites
If you want a website with a complex design or layout, a contact form, a blog, e-commerce capabilities, database, content management system or search engine optimisation, you will need to make a payment.
Increased consultation and revision
We will always consult extensively with you to fully understand your website needs, but if you have complex requirements, need to have many redesigns, or have to change your requirements midway through, you will need to make a payment.
Charitable donation
Maybe the best reason of all: 10% of your web design payment will go to our selected charity!

How much does it all cost?

We recommend you get a quote from other web design companies, to get an approximate idea of market prices. Most people are surprised by how much web designers charge. The reason for this is that it is hard to see straight away all the complexity involved in making a good website. A good web design company expends many hours and experience on both graphics and code to get your website looking professional and operating optimally for the maximum possible client base. If you are a business, we recommend seeing your website as the crucial 24 hours, 365 days a year workhorse and shopfront it really is. Regardless, if you are going to have a website, you should ensure it represents you in the most favourable light, and for that reason alone, it is worth spending money on.

We will give you an estimated cost after you have submitted your application, and we understand exactly what you want, but the following table indicates average market prices for good quality webdesign. Please bear in mind that each website will be different, depending on the exact requirements and size:
