Another step that’s often left out: make sure there’s no mistakes on your site before you launch. Use software such as White Smoke or editing services that cater to websites, such as Elite Editing (http://www.eliteediting.com).

I have a website similar to YouTube. Do I need a business permit or establish an LLC/Inc before launching my website?

I’m a licensed barber in nyc and currently I’m woking on opening my men’s salon, and following will be my own product line. At the moment I work for a luxury men’s shop where I cut hair etc. Also I perform hair cuts and treatments on the side.
I want to create buzz about my upcoming shop and product line by creating a website. Is it to soon for a website considering my shop isn’t open? I figured a website could just get my name out there and cause anticipation.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks, Jason
